Not so much an incident as something so ingrained into society that it’s seen as a norm whenever stepping out of the house, but walking down the road directly outside my residential layout brings with it leery stares and sometimes even being followed closely for a stretch. Fortunately, I’ve never been in a scenario where I felt in danger – but the normalization means that shiver down my spine when noticing I’m being ogled feels like something to accept as natural instead of the gross behaviour it is.
